The composition is an original and was inspired by two pieces from my La Catederal album. One, the Sons Da Carrilhoes a Brazilian Choro, inspired the rhythm and colorful chromatic lines. The other, Villa Lobos Prelude Number 3, has this amazing stormy middle section. My stormy middle section actually started out as part of an improvisation I have played for years in a jazz setting, but seems to fit perfectly as a contrasting minor section to the light hearted opening section in D major.
